Man Arrested After He Fails Background Check To Work For Sheriff’s Department

When you apply for a job with a law enforcement agency, a background check is common, and sometimes not the best thing for the applicant. Robert Eversole Jr. applied to work for the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office and during the background check implications of an ‘inappropriate relationship with an under-aged individual several years prior’ came up; detectives talked to the victim, confirmed the relationship, and instead of settling in at the sheriff’s office, Eversole was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center on a felony charge of carnal knowledge.
