Akihiko Kondo has found his match, but she isn’t human.
Kondo is a “fictosexual,” someone who identifies as being attracted to fictional characters. It’s a thing now. His bride is Hatsune Miku, a computer synthesized anime character with blue hair and blue eyes, who has toured with Lady Gaga.
Kondo has been “with” Hatsune for 10 years, but actually has her in his home thanks to a machine called Gatebox that allows him to interact with the hologram of her. The company even has unofficial marriage certificates, so they got married.
While Kondo’s family and co-workers passed on attending the wedding, about 40 strangers from the internet and a local member of parliament attended.
