Sometimes when you are on vacation, you might get a little loose and do things you normally wouldn’t do…like drive your car into a body of water. According to Fox 2 Detroit, a New Orleans, LA man on vacation in Pontiac, MI had rented a Nissan, and somehow ended up in a body of water at 1:30am. When police arrived on the scene, the noticed a man and a woman walking away from the water and decided to question them to see if they saw anything. As the police approached them, the woman ran off. The man told police he saw someone drowning and he jumped into the water to save him. But there was no other people around. And the police noticed the man’s breath smelled like alcohol. Then they found a Nissan key fab in his pocket. The man was arrested and charged with a DUI. No word in the report if the rental had a full tank of gas or if he opted for the rental insurance.
