A second Husker came off the board Saturday in the NFL Draft.
Hours after teammate and fellow offensive lineman Brenden Jaimes went to the Chargers in the fifth round, Matt Farniok was selected in the seventh round at No. 238 by the Dallas Cowboys.
In “secret audio” from the Cowboys draft war room, team owner Jerry Jones called Farniok to let him know that he was their next selection.
“There have been a lot of Nebraska offensive lineman that have torn their ass up in the NFL,” Jones said. “We’re glad that you’re on our team, Matt.”
