Hilarious Wedding Cake Fail!

By News Aug 25, 2020 | 7:35 AM

There’s a reason why some bakers get the big bucks to make a wedding cake, and one couple apparently learned that the hard way.

A wedding planner recently shared a photo of a wedding cake to Reddit’s face palm forum, which shows you why you should leave the cake decorating to the professionals. According to the poster the couple getting married decided to have their local supermarket ice a cake for them. The cake was supposed to read “Wiser Wedding.” What they got instead was a cake that read “Why’s there a wedding?’ in bright green lettering.

As you can imagine, folks on social media were having a field day with the cake disaster.

    • “Honestly, I think I’d find this just hilarious and get tons of photos with it and show it off to everyone!,” one person wrote, while another joked, “That takes the cake.”
    • Finally a third noted, “Great talking point though.”
    • Some wondered how the mistake happened in the first place. “I work in a grocery store bakery… I will write down and show what I wrote to those that want me to write on cakes,” one person shared. “If it’s wrong when I give it back or if they pick up an order that’s wrong we will fix it and take money off.”
